Description

After getting a new computer I discovered that it didn't have a 25-PIN LPT Printer connection. I purchased the adapter and it worked perfectly, just connected it to the USB port and the printer and it was up and printing again.

I was disappointed to learn that our new Windows 7 computer did not have a parallel port for connecting my faithful HP LaserJet 5L. This 25 pin Parallel to USB Printer Adapter Cable was perfect. The computer had no trouble finding and installing the printer.

The cable is fine, and made the connection from my old printer to my newer computer. At which point I discovered there is no driver for this printer for Windows Vista. I was only focused on hooking up the printer, and it never occurred to me that the printer itself was too old for my operating system to deal with. So before you purchase this cable, make sure that your computer can talk to the printer. And if any techie can tell me how to get an HP OfficeJet T65xi to interface with Vista, I'd be so grateful! I can't find anything online.

I am not a tech person at all. I purchased this adaptor to use on an old HP printer to link it to my new HP Vista. It works beautifully and I love it!
